Bocas del Toro Restaurants

Barnes and Dixon’s Smoked Fish House
This is the newest and most exciting restaurant in Bocas del Toro. In not only has the best seafood on the island, but also the best service, best location, and best overall experience. They are in such demand that you the only want to eat there is by making a reservation. They will pick you up at your hotel, take you to the Bay of Saigon, boat you over to the restaurant, and take you back, all included in the price, which is very reasonable. Don’t leave bocas without going to Barnes and Dixon’s.

La Casbah
There isn’t a bad thing that can be said about this restaurant. Las Casbah has fantasic food, a wide variety of options, and provides the perfect setting for a romantic date, or a night out with the family. The Mediterranean Chicken is excellent! This restaurant is located on Avenida Norte, close to Mondo Taitu.

Om Café
This is the only, and best, Indian restaurant on the island. The food is great, the vibe is funky. Although the dinner is fabulous, be sure to check them out for breakfast as well. The Indian breakfasts are unique and tasty.

Ultimo Refugio
This is a beautiful restaurant built over the water. They always mix up the menu, but no matter what genre they’re cooking up, they never disappoint. Be sure to leave a little room for dessert, because they are to die for.

Lemongrass
This is a great Thai restaurant, but they definitely branch out and offer numerous kinds of cuisine. They are a very good choice lunch. The quality is great, the portions are good, and the prices are fair. And the beautiful ocean views are a huge plus.

You will be shocked at the kind of foods that this super market has. Think a beautiful Napa Vally Deli and Market, smacked down right in the center of a Caribbean Island. Whether you’re buying groceries for dinner, or buying a deli sandwich for to take along with you on your boat tour, and cannot go wrong.

Restaurante Chitre
This is the best option for local Panamanian Cuisine. The quality is good, the prices are cheap, and the hot sauce is AMAZING.

Lily’s Café
This is definitely one of the best breakfast and lunch options on the island. They define good home cooking. If you can handle hot foods, be sure to try something on their menu that is cooked with their homemade Killin’ me Man Hot Sauce.
