Casco Viejo

Casco Viejo, Panama City is definitely the most special part of Panama City. Located on the south end of San Felipe, Casco Viejo is a UNESCO world heritage site as of 1997. The vibrancy of the streets, the beauty of the architecture and the beautiful ocean views, all contribute to Casco Viejo’s charm. If you make a stop in Panama City, be sure not to leave, without at least, drinking a morning coffee in one of Casco Viejo’s beautiful plazas. But if you have time, be sure spend some time walking around. Two times a week, the Office of Casco Antiguo offers comprehensive tours of the area. But if you want to do it yourself, Luna’s Castle Hostel is a great place to start as they are located right at the start of Casco Viejo. You can go inside, walk up the stairs to Reception, and they will give you a handy map of the area, and point you in the right direction to get you started on your way.
